![]() without too many spoilers I was wondering if someone could tell me more about the overall story. I am super surprised with how many people love this one despite the sexual slavery? Is it worth it to read? I just feel like I can't make myself enjoy sexual slavery even if the romance storyline is great, but I keep hearing about how amazing of a series it is? Is it more dubious non con or straight up assault? I can, for the most part, maybe get into consensual non con/dubious non consent storylines. ![]() I know they are fictional characters but I just have never enjoyed reading about straight up assault or even watching scenes of it on shows like GoT. do a lot of people here not feel the same way? not judging. I do draw the line when it comes to r*pe though. However I love a good enemies to lovers with angst, tension, fighting, pining, hurt/comfort, rough sex then loving sex etc. ![]() ![]() But I am scared to read this one due to mentions I have seen of graphic sexual assaults and non consent situations. ![]() Damen is a warrior hero to his people, and the rightful heir to the throne of Akielos, but when his half brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity, and sent to serve the prince of an enemy nation as a pleasure slave. I've seen Captive Prince recommended a ton, I know only a little bit of the story from what I have read of the synopsis from the first book and tons of recs of it on here. Pacat comes the first novel in her critically acclaimed Captive Prince trilogy. ![]()
